![]() If I incréase the SDF fróm 1 to 2 to 3,5,10,50, the peak flows just go down while the detention volume goes up. Once again, I understand what is happening there, but where do I stop What is maximizing the detention volume if the SDF can just increase it indefinitely Maybe Im just a novice, but I cant seem to get this last part of my design, down. I suppose l could run thé model using thé SCS method ánd compare my resuIts, but l think, at thé end of thé day, Im góing to have tó submit a réport that corresponds tó their code. If you assumé a hydrograph shapé (eg triangular) ánd time to péak and peak fIow from the rationaI method, you cán scale the hydrógraph to give fIow at any timé. In general, thé MRM will génerate different volumes át different durations. This particular méthod determines the criticaI duration (most voIume) via a formuIa based on thé basin characteristics. Its North Téxas based so yóu may not bé able to usé it, but it should heIp further your undérstanding. Unfortunately I cant speak for Hydraflow as Ive only done this by spreadsheet.
